Cold hearted?

Do you find that the love of others has grown cold?
Do you experience this coldness yourself?

God is love and He wants us to know and ABIDE in His Love....however we are warned....
Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, Matthew 24:12

Like a body has a fever to indicate sickness.

Dark thoughts or emotions a similar gauge to one's spiritual health...if gone unchecked these symptoms can progress and become greater in degree or duration leading some to self-hatred or suicidal thoughts....

Believers are NOT exempt from this danger, but THEY are better equipped!
THE SYMPTOM OF SUICIDAL THOUGHTS or despising one's life

[OF LACK OF LOVE for self (compassion, charity, understanding, etc) ]

INDICATES SELF-HATRED...Jesus said hatred is like murder

Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer; and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.1 John 3:15

Hating your brother includes hating yourself...This can progress to self murder or suicide (thoughts and tendencies)

BELIEVERS MUST FIGHT (RESIST) IN THE SPIRIT

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; 2 Cor 10:5

HOW IS THIS DONE???? READ HIS WORD EVERY DAY AND HOURLY IF YOU NEED IT!!! FILL UP ON IT OTHERWISE Beware because....

My people are being destroyed because they don't know me. Since you priests refuse to know me, I refuse to recognize you as my priests. Since you have forgotten the laws of your God, I will forget to bless your children. NLT Hosea 4:6

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because you have rejected knowledge, I reject you from being a priest to me. And since you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.ESV

So place yourselves under God's authority. Resist the devil, and he will run away from you. James 4:7

Hebrews 6 (Amplified Bible)

1THEREFORE LET us go on and get past the elementary stage in the teachings and doctrine of Christ (the Messiah), advancing steadily toward the completeness and perfection that belong to spiritual maturity. Let us not again be laying the foundation of repentance and abandonment of dead works (dead formalism) and of the faith [by which you turned] to God,

2With teachings about purifying, the laying on of hands, the resurrection from the dead, and eternal judgment and punishment. [These are all matters of which you should have been fully aware long, long ago.]

3If indeed God permits, we will [now] proceed [to advanced teaching].

4For it is impossible [to restore and bring again to repentance] those who have been once for all enlightened, who have consciously tasted the heavenly gift and have become sharers of the Holy Spirit,

5And have felt how good the Word of God is and the mighty powers of the age and world to come,

6If they then deviate from the faith and turn away from their allegiance--[it is impossible] to bring them back to repentance, for (because, while, as long as) they nail upon the cross the Son of God afresh [as far as they are concerned] and are holding [Him] up to contempt and shame and public disgrace.

7For the soil which has drunk the rain that repeatedly falls upon it and produces vegetation useful to those for whose benefit it is cultivated partakes of a blessing from God.

8But if [that same soil] persistently bears thorns and thistles, it is considered worthless and near to being cursed, whose end is to be burned.

9Even though we speak this way, yet in your case, beloved, we are now firmly convinced of better things that are near to salvation and accompany it.

10For God is not unrighteous to forget or overlook your labor and the love which you have shown for His name's sake in ministering to the needs of the saints (His own consecrated people), as you still do.

11But we do [[a]strongly and earnestly] desire for each of you to show the same diligence and sincerity [all the way through] in realizing and enjoying the full assurance and development of [your] hope until the end,

12In order that you may not grow disinterested and become [spiritual] sluggards, but imitators, behaving as do those who through faith (by their leaning of the entire personality on God in Christ in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness[b]) and by practice of patient endurance and waiting are [now] inheriting the promises.

13For when God made [His] promise to Abraham, He swore by Himself, since He had no one greater by whom to swear,

14Saying, Blessing I certainly will bless you and multiplying I will multiply you.

15And so it was that he [Abraham], having waited long and endured patiently, realized and obtained [in the birth of Isaac as a pledge of what was to come] what God had promised him.

16Men indeed swear by a greater [than themselves], and with them in all disputes the oath taken for confirmation is final [ending strife].

17Accordingly God also, in His desire to show more convincingly and beyond doubt to those who were to inherit the promise the unchangeableness of His purpose and plan, intervened (mediated) with an oath.

18This was so that, by two unchangeable things [His promise and His oath] in which it is impossible for God ever to prove false or deceive us, we who have fled [to Him] for refuge might have mighty indwelling strength and strong encouragement to grasp and hold fast the hope appointed for us and set before [us].

19[Now] we have this [hope] as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul [it cannot slip and it cannot [c]break down under whoever steps out upon it--a hope] that reaches [d]farther and enters into [the very certainty of the Presence] within the veil,
20Where Jesus has entered in for us [in advance], a Forerunner having become a High Priest forever after the order (with [e]the rank) of Melchizedek.

God's Hand- Prayers in time of Trouble (illness, worry, etc)

O Lord,my God though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve my life; You stretch out Your hand against the anger of my foes, with your righ hand You save me. You, Lord, will fulfill Your purpose for me; Your love, O Lord endures forever- You will not abandon the works of Your hands. (Ps. 138:7-8)

Your right hand, O Lord, is majestic in power. Your right hand, O Lord, shatters the enemy. In the greatness of your majesty, You will throw down those who oppose You. You will unleash Your burning angerl it will consume them like stubble.(Exodus. 15:6-7)

Who among the gods is like You, O Lord? Who is like You-majestic in holiness, awesome in glory, working wonders? Stretch out Your right hand and deal with my enemy, O God!(Exodus. 15:11-12)

Who is like your children, O God , a people saved by the Lord? You are my shield and helper and my glorious sword. Cause my enemy to cower, Lord! Trample down his high places. (Deut 33:29)

Lord, my God, show the wonder of Your great love, You who save by Your right hand those who take refuge in You from their foes. Keep me as the apple of Your eye; hide me in the shadow of Your wings from the wicked who assail me. (Ps. 17:7-9)

Reach down from on high, my God and my Redeemer, and take hold of me! Draw me out of deep waters. Rescue me from my powerful enemy, from my foes, who are too strong for me! My enemy has confronted me in the day of my disaster, but You, Lord are my support! Bring me to a spacious place; rescue me because you delight in me! (Ps. 18:16-19)

Mighty God, free me from the trap that is set for me, for you are my refuge...You have not handed me over to the enemy but have set my feet in a spacious place (Ps.31:4,8)

I am always with You, O God. You hold me by my right hand. You guide me with Your counnsel, and afterward you take me into glory. Whom have I in heaven but You? And earth has nothing here besides You. My flesh and heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever (Ps. 73:23-26).

Father, I pray that You will cause no weapon forged against me to prevail. Enable me to refute the tongue of my accuser. Thank You for giving this as a heritage to Your servants, O Lord (Isa. 54:17)

Father God, according to Your Word, wickedness will increase as the time of your return draws nearer (Matt. 24:12) Prepare me through prayer and Your Word to stand firm when I am under the attack of the evil one.

Victorious God, I celebrate the fact that You, the God of peace, will soon crush Satan under Your feet, and until then the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ is with us (Rom. 16:20).
